Your phone has its own app list
Every Kosher Qin Phone has its own list of allowed apps, tied to its serial number. The Kosher Qin Phone app is the only app store on the phone, and it only shows the apps on your phone’s list. There is no Google Play Store and no web browser.
Two phones can have different apps. If a friend’s phone has an app, that only means it was approved for their phone. It says nothing about yours.
How an app gets onto your phone
There are three ways:
Apps you chose at registration. Free, picked from our catalog at apps.kosherqinphone.com when you registered the phone.
App requests. Any other app, including catalog apps you didn’t pick at registration. Each request costs $5 per app and is reviewed by a person. See “How do I request a new app?”
Apps made by Kosher Qin Phone. Our own apps are free in every app store, with no request.
There are no other free adds. Every new app after registration goes through a paid request, and apps can’t be added through a support chat or email.
When something is added
When an app request is approved (or another change is made to your phone), we apply it from our side. You don’t need to do anything. If you don’t see it, restart the phone and scroll the full Apps → All list.
Older phones
If your Kosher Qin Phone app has no Account tab, your phone is on our older system, and new apps can’t be added until it’s upgraded. See “How do I upgrade my phone to 2.0?”
