An app needs a web browser to sign in

Why some sign-in screens go blank or do nothing, and what you can try.

Some apps open a web page to sign you in, for example “Continue with Google”, a Microsoft login, or a payment page. The Kosher Qin Phone has no web browser, and in-app browsers are blocked, so this step fails. You might see the sign-in do nothing, go blank, or say “web browser not found”.

What you can try

  1. Look for another way to sign in. Many apps let you use email and password instead of “Continue with Google”. Try that.

  2. Set up the account on another device first. Create the account, reset your password, or finish an ID check on another phone or computer. Then sign in on the Qin.

If the app only allows signing in through a web page, unfortunately it can’t be used on this phone.

Good to know

  • New Google accounts must be created on another device.

  • Links in emails (including Google Drive and Dropbox links) don’t open, because there’s no browser.

  • We can’t add a browser, even for a moment, and we can’t sign in for you.
