An app I installed isn't working

What to try when an app crashes, closes, keeps loading or shows an error.

Try these steps

  1. Restart the phone (hold the power button for 3 seconds and tap Restart).

  2. Clear the app’s cache: Settings → Apps & Notifications → See all apps → [the app] → Storage & Cache → Clear Cache.

  3. Open the Kosher Qin Phone app → Updates tab, and update everything, including Google Play Services.

  4. Uninstall the app from the home screen (press and hold the icon), then reinstall it from Apps → All. Don’t press “Remove” in the app store.

  5. Open the app again after the restart and see if it works.

Common causes

  • The app needs a web browser to sign in. See “An app needs a web browser to sign in.”

  • The app refuses filtered phones (for example “device rooted” or “compromised”). See “An app says my device is rooted or compromised.”

  • “Update Google Play Services.” See “I see a message to update Google Play Services.”

  • The app needs something our filter blocks. Sometimes we can fix this on our side. Contact us with the details below.

  • The app isn’t compatible. Apps added by request that aren’t in our catalog have never been tested on the phone, and we can’t guarantee they’ll work or can be fixed.

Notifications late or missing?

Go to Settings → Apps & Notifications → See all apps → [the app] → Battery optimization → Not optimized, and make sure notifications are allowed for the app.
