How long does an app request take?

Review times, what affects them, and how you'll hear back.

Review time

App requests are usually reviewed within a few hours, but it can take up to 3–5 days.

What can make it take longer

  • ID verification. If your request needs ID verification, the review starts after it’s completed. Check the account email for the verification link.

  • Filter PIN. If we need your PIN, you’ll get a “Verify Your Filter PIN” email. The request waits until you use that link.

  • Shabbos and Yom Tov. We’re closed. Requests sent on Friday take an extra day, and requests are slower around Yom Tov and on Chol Hamoed.

How will I know?

You’ll get an email called “App Request Update” with the new status:

  • Approved – the app has been added to your phone. Install it from Apps → All.

  • Rejected – the app couldn’t be approved.

You don’t need to message us while you wait. Asking for an update won’t speed it up.

Requests close after 7 days

If ID verification or the filter PIN isn’t completed within 7 days, the request closes. If your verification link expired, see “My ID verification link expired.”

Still need help?

If ID verification is done and you haven’t had a decision after 3–5 days, contact us through the support chat in the Kosher Qin Phone app or by email at [email protected]. Please include the name on the request, the date you placed it, and the app name.
