Will my app be approved?

What we can tell you before you request, and how categories affect approval.

We can’t guarantee any app will be approved. Every request is reviewed manually, and nobody can promise the result in advance. We also can’t test an app for you before you request it.

Check our catalog first

Our current catalog is at apps.kosherqinphone.com. If an app isn’t on your phone, it’s still a request, even if it’s in the catalog.

What the category tells you

  • Never allowed: AI apps, shopping apps, games, browsers and the other categories in “Which apps are never allowed?” Please don’t request these.

  • Usually not allowed: fitness apps and sports apps, because of the pictures and videos inside. You can still try a request.

  • Usually allowed: banks and similar utility apps, like bill pay, insurance, transit and work tools. Still never guaranteed.

Approved doesn’t always mean it works

Apps not in our catalog have never been tested on the phone. Even if an app is approved, it may not work properly, or at all. For example:

  • The phone runs Android 11. Apps that need Android 12 or newer can’t install.

  • The phone has no web browser. Apps that open a web page to sign in will fail.

  • Some apps, especially banks, refuse to run on a filtered phone.

  • Our filter can block an app’s internet access, but it generally can’t filter content inside an app (pictures, videos, posts). This is why some apps aren’t approved.

The $5 fee isn’t refundable if an app isn’t approved or doesn’t work.
