The Kosher Qin Phone is unlocked and uses 4G LTE in the US. It takes one physical nano-SIM card (there is no eSIM).
Every US carrier runs on one of three networks: T-Mobile, AT&T or Verizon. Smaller carriers (prepaid brands, cable companies, US Mobile and others) use one of these three. What matters is which network your line is on, not the brand name.
What to do for your network
Your line is on… | Does it work? | What you do |
Our own Kosher Qin Phone plans | Yes (recommended) | Nothing. It works out of the box. |
T-Mobile or a T-Mobile-based carrier | Yes, out of the box | Insert the SIM and go. |
AT&T or an AT&T-based carrier | Yes, out of the box | Insert the SIM and go. |
Verizon or a Verizon-based carrier | Yes, after one setting | Ask your carrier to turn on “CDMA-less” on your line. See How do I set up my phone on Verizon or a Verizon-based carrier? |
US Mobile | Depends on the network | Use Light Speed or Dark Star. See I use US Mobile. Which network should I choose? |
Not sure which network your carrier uses?
Call your carrier and ask: “Which network is my line on: T-Mobile, AT&T or Verizon?” Then follow the matching row above.
Our recommendation
Our own cellular plans are built for this phone and work out of the box, with a new number or your current number. See What cellular plans do you offer?
Good to know
The phone works on T-Mobile and AT&T networks out of the box, and on Verizon after CDMA-less is turned on. It is not “T-Mobile only”.
Wi-Fi calling should work with all carriers.
Coverage depends on your area and carrier. We can’t promise that a specific carrier will work well in your area.
There are no special return exceptions for carrier problems. Returns follow our normal policy: within 7 days of receiving the phone, with a 7% restocking fee and return shipping deducted.
