RCS (called “Chat features” or “RCS chats” in Google Messages) is not officially supported on the Kosher Qin Phone. When it’s on, iPhones and other RCS phones can behave oddly when texting you. On some carriers it may seem to work, but it isn’t supported.
Signs RCS may be causing a problem
Texts show “not sent” even though they were sent
RCS says “trying to connect” or “connecting”
You don’t get some group messages, especially from iPhone users
Messages stuck “downloading”
An error like “Error 4006”
How to turn RCS off
Open Google Messages.
Tap the ⋮ menu → Settings.
Tap RCS chats (or Chat features) and turn it off.
Restart your phone.
Send a test text to someone with an iPhone and ask them to reply.
Still not working?
Make sure mobile data is on. Picture and group messages need it, even on Wi-Fi.
Try the steps in My phone has no service.
If you’re on Verizon’s network and pictures or group texts act strangely, see Pictures open a new group chat, or voice notes won’t play.
If Google Messages still isn’t working, you can install Messages Plus from your app store and try it.
Can you turn RCS on for me?
RCS isn’t officially supported on this phone, so we recommend keeping it off.
