Do these steps before you connect your phone to the car.
Steps
Update everything. Open the Kosher Qin Phone app → Updates tab, swipe down to refresh, and update everything. This includes Android Auto and Google Play Services.
Install Android Auto Helper. In the Kosher Qin Phone app, go to the Apps tab and install Android Auto Helper (in the Made by Kosher Qin Phone section). Scroll the list rather than using search.
Install Google Maps from your app store. If Google Maps isn’t in your store, open the Kosher Qin Phone app → ☰ (top left) → Tools → Allow Android Auto Without Maps and wait a few seconds.
Allow permissions. Go to Settings → Apps & notifications → See all apps. Tap the ☰ menu → Show system. Tap Android Auto → Permissions and allow everything. Do the same for Google Play Services.
Allow Special app access. Go to Settings → Apps & notifications → Advanced → Special app access. In each section (for example Notification access, Display over other apps, Battery optimization and Usage access), allow Android Auto and Google Play Services.
Connect to your car with a USB-C data cable. A cable is more reliable than wireless. Some cables are “charge-only” and won’t work.
