The phone comes with 32 GB or 64 GB of storage. It has no SD card slot, and storage can’t be added. Music and photos use the most space, and app updates use space too.
How to free up space
See what’s using space: go to Settings → Storage.
Back up photos and videos to Google Photos (or files to Google Drive, if you have it), then delete them from the phone.
Remove downloaded music or videos you don’t need.
Uninstall apps you don’t use. Uninstalled apps stay in your app store, so you can reinstall them anytime for free.
Copy files to a computer
Plug the phone into a computer with a USB cable, pull down the notification, tap the USB option, and choose File transfer. You can then copy photos and files to the computer.
You can also copy music (MP3 files) from a computer to the phone the same way, or email them to yourself.
Deleted photos
Deleted photos usually can’t be recovered. Back up to Google Photos regularly so you don’t lose them.
