My phone is slow

Simple steps to speed up a slow or laggy phone.

Steps

  1. Close unused apps: hold the Back button for 2 seconds and tap Clear All.

  2. Restart the phone: hold the power button for 3 seconds and tap Restart.

  3. Clear the cache on the slowest apps: Settings → Apps & notifications → [the app] → Storage & cache → Clear cache. (Choose Clear cache, not Clear storage.)

  4. Check your storage: Settings → Storage. Free up space if it’s nearly full. See My storage is full. Can I add more?

  5. Update everything in the Kosher Qin Phone app → Updates tab.

Good to know

  • Having many apps installed can slow the phone down. Uninstall the ones you don’t use.

  • Phones on our older system are slower. If your Kosher Qin Phone app has no Account tab, see kosherqinphone.com/upgrade for the 2.0 upgrade.
