The website says my phone is already registered

What to do if you see "Cannot modify an already registered device" or someone else's name.

You may see a message like:

Cannot modify an already registered device. This device has apps or a plan assigned.

Or the website shows someone else’s name, or asks for a filter PIN you never set.

This means the serial number already has a registration on file (for example, from an earlier registration). You can’t clear this yourself, but we can check it for you.

What to do

Contact us through the support chat in the Kosher Qin Phone app or by email at [email protected]. Please include:

  • Your serial number, as text (Settings → About → Model & Hardware → Serial Number)

  • Where and when you bought the phone

  • Your order number, if you bought it on our website

  • A screenshot of the message

We’ll check the registration and let you know when you can register again at my.kosherqinphone.com.

Good to know

  • If the website asks for a filter PIN, someone set one when the phone was registered. If a family member registered the phone, they may know it.

  • For privacy, we can’t share details of any earlier registration.
