Parental Controls let the PIN holder lock features on the phone itself, such as installing apps, the app store, texting or picture messages.
Before you start
Set a filter PIN online first. See “How do I set or change my filter PIN?”
Turn on Parental Controls
On the phone, open the Kosher Qin Phone app.
Press the ☰ (three lines) at the top left.
Tap Parental Controls.
Tap Enable and enter your filter PIN.
Turn on the locks you want, for example:
Block installing apps
Lock the app store
Block texting
Block picture messages
Good to know
Parental Controls don’t remove apps that are already installed. Uninstall those from the phone.
If you block installing, app updates may not install either. Unblock installing when you want to update, then turn it back on.
Google’s Family Link can’t work on this phone. Use our Parental Controls instead.
Something stopped working after turning them on
If calls or another feature stop working (for example, a “contact IT admin” message when calling), go back to Parental Controls and unblock the items one at a time to find which one is causing it.
