My phone doesn’t ring. Go to Settings → Sound and raise the ring volume. Swipe down and check the silent/vibrate/ring tile, and make sure Do Not Disturb is off.
People say I sound like I’m on speakerphone. The earpiece volume is probably very high. Lower the volume during a call.
My microphone only fails during calls. Go to Settings → Apps & notifications → [your phone app] → Permissions → Microphone and choose Allow.
How do I use speed dial (holding a number key)? Speed dial works on the Quickstep home screen. Switch to it at Settings → Apps & notifications → Default apps → Home app → Quickstep, then set up speed dial in your phone app’s settings.
My phone dialed 911 by itself. Go to Settings → Safety & emergency → Emergency SOS and turn off Use Emergency SOS.
How do I set up voicemail or call forwarding? These are carrier features. Contact your carrier. Visual voicemail is not supported.
Certain people can’t call me. Check the blocked numbers list in your phone app. If they aren’t blocked, contact us with examples (the number and the time they tried).
Can I use the Google Phone app? We don’t recommend it. It can cause a stuck call screen and missing caller names, and the physical keypad doesn’t work with it. Use the pre-installed phone app.
Does Wi-Fi calling work? It should work with all carriers. See How do I turn on Wi-Fi calling?
