This phone doesn’t work well with fast (high-speed) chargers. They’re the most common cause of charging problems, like charging only when you hold the cable, charging on and off, or never reaching 100%.
Steps
Use the cable that came with the phone with a low-speed USB charger block (5W–10W). A charging block isn’t included in the box, so use one you have that’s 10W or less.
Check the port: power the phone off and gently check the charging port for lint.
Restart the phone.
Try another cable to rule out a damaged cable.
Charges only when the phone is off?
Try the steps above first, especially the low-speed charger.
Still not charging properly?
The charging port may need a repair.
Within 180 days of purchase: file a warranty claim. See How do I file a warranty claim? (A port worn from pulling or tugging on the cable, or damage from fast chargers or third-party accessories, isn’t covered.)
After 180 days: contact us for out-of-warranty repair options.
